The Pink Zone Zona Rosa is to Mexico City what the central plaza is to a provincial town. Bounded by Paseo de la Reforma, Insurgentes Sur, Avenida Chapultepec, and Florencia, the Zone covers an area of roughly 18 square blocks. Within its confines are numerous restaurants of all types, nightclubs, hotels, travel agencies, art galleries, and shops and boutiques in infinite variety selling everything from colorful paper flowers to designer clothes and handsome wearing apparel in kid or suede.
It is the ideal place to window shop, to run into friends or new acquaintances, to see and be seen. High fashion prevails on these streets; even the trees are pink.
